Every spring I get the urge to freshen up the house and redecorate. Sometimes I reupholster, change out pillows or replace one major piece of furniture or large accessory. This year I’ve decided to replace the beige wool rug in the family room. It, along with much of the furniture, came from our former home. (The rug was in a spare bedroom). Being so light in color and having such little texture, it is not the best choice for a family room where we and our two dogs like to hangout.I will post photos of the new family room rug once I find it. Please keep an eye out for one – something neutral, soft and with a bit of heathering or texture that is forgiving.
In the meantime, here are photos of our former home. Many of these photos are from the Sept 2008 issue of Traditional Home.
